What a night! The Albertson Halloween House welcomed some 800-1000 trick or treaters and their families to a very Ghostbuster-y evening! Visitors got to walk up into the Ghostbuster firehouse headquarters to get their treats, view a moving picture of Viggo, interact with two teams of Ghostbusters and their friends Dana, Louis, Janine and a few ghosts, sneak by Slimer himself and run away from the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man lumbering down a New York City Street. Here are some moments from the night.
Ready for visitors! The Ghostbuster firehouse headquarters, pillars with the terror dog servants of Gozer, the infamous Ghostbuster symbol and Stay Puft walking down a New York City street.
The sign outside lets everyone know that the Ghostbusters are ready for business.
The Ghostbuster symbol and a strange painting ended up being great places to take a photo.
When visitors looked at this painting with their phones, it came to life!
Slimer came by to visit! (Thanks to our friends at Zonkey! – Thanks for bringing him by!)
Did someone lose their dog?
I think I found your dog! (or it might also be Zuul or Vinz Clortho).
Janine Melnitz and Ghostbuster Winston Zeddmore are ready to believe you (and give you treats).
Visitors got Stay Puft marshmallows and slime as treats!
Oh no, Grace. Look out! It’s Slimer!
Ghostbusters are geared up and ready to go.
“Why worry? Each one of us is wearing an unlicensed nuclear accelerator on his back.”
“I tried to think of the most harmless thing. Something I loved from my childhood, something that could never, ever possibly destroy us: Mr. Stay-Puft.”
Who ya’ gonna call? Ghostbusters!
…and more Ghostbusters!
Whole team assembled!
Visitors arrive!
Ghostbusters dive into action.
“Just try saying no to these salty parabolas!”
“I’m just looking for a reasonable ratio of wontons to soup, this is madness!”
Dana Barrett showed up…
…and things started getting weird. (Said something about “Keymaster” and “Gatekeeper”?)
Pretty soon the whole team was involved.
And just when you thought that ONE Louis was enough…
Junior Ghostbusters to the rescue!
These folks are a tight crew…like a family.
And the team who helped put this event on. Thanks, everyone!!
This year’s house was a result of the combined efforts of lots of folks who painted, dressed up and chipped in. Thanks to everyone who helped!!
