…and mountains and pumpkins!
We have a tradition of inviting neighbors, friends, family and co-workers over to help paint set pieces for the house. This year having a large group of folks over to help paint was challenging, so we had a small group (socially distanced) tackle some of the painting projects.
Our daughter, Grace, wanted to paint the giant moon. It is 8 ft. in diameter, so it is a little tricky to paint (especially the middle) so she had to be creative with how she did it.
She also really wanted to paint the swirl. That piece, too, is large but Grace used the extended handle for the roller and made short work of it.
Long-time friends of the Albertson Halloween House, Bich and Brian Hamilton also wished to paint this year. So, they attacked the two large mountains that are part of the Nightmare Before Christmas Landscape.
Finally, I wanted to have some pumpkins skewered on top of the graveyard fence that we will have, so I got some Styrofoam ones. They, however, only came in white. (What?) So, we had to paint the pumpkins orange.
Thanks Grace, Bich and Brian! Your speedy work got us really far ahead, schedule-wise (and you are fun to work with!).
